My name is Kathleen Jones, and I am a licensed mental health counselor with five years of experience counseling individuals and working with groups. Before pursuing a counseling career, I worked in education for 15 years as a teacher, school administrator, and curriculum writer (hats off to all of the educators in our lives!). I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Sociology from Emory University in Atlanta, GA and a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University in Alamosa, CO.
As a therapist, I enjoy working with teenagers and adults. I believe in the importance of listening to clients with empathy and curiosity, working alongside them to process and gain insight into overwhelming thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. My experience involves working with people facing anxiety, depression, chronic pain, relationship issues, and grief. I also work with clients exploring gender identity and sexual orientation. As an open and affirming therapist, I welcome individuals of all cultures, identities, and orientations.
I encourage you to reach out with questions or to schedule a consultation call/initial appointment; hopefully we can find the space and time to work together!
